Trading
How does PolyPulse find relevant markets?
PolyPulse extracts keywords from tweets using pattern matching, then searches Polymarket's database of active markets for relevant results.
Can I trade from the popup without a tweet?
Yes! Open the popup, go to the Markets tab, and search for any market to trade.
What are the fees?
PolyPulse does not charge any fees. All trading fees are charged by Polymarket directly. PolyPulse simply displays these fees transparently before you confirm a trade.
Polymarket fee structure:
| Order Type | Fee | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Limit order | 0% (maker) | Limit orders are maker orders on Polymarket. No fee, plus potential rebates |
| Market order | Variable (taker) | Fee depends on the market and price. Can range from ~0% to ~2% |
| Crypto 15M markets | Up to 10% | Short-term crypto markets have a higher fee rate set by Polymarket |
How Polymarket calculates fees:
Polymarket uses the formula: fee = baseRate * min(price, 1 - price)
- The base fee rate varies per market and is set by Polymarket
- The effective fee is lower when the price is near the extremes ($0.01 or $0.99) and higher when near $0.50
- For standard markets, the base rate is typically ~2%. For crypto 15-minute markets, Polymarket sets it at 10%
- Fee rates are fetched in real-time from Polymarket's API for each market
Important
These fees are entirely determined and collected by Polymarket, not by PolyPulse. PolyPulse has no control over fee rates. The exact fee is always displayed in the order preview before you confirm.
Why are crypto 15M market fees so high?
Crypto 15-minute markets have a base fee rate of 10% (set by Polymarket). This is because of the short duration and high-frequency nature of these markets. Polymarket determines this rate, and PolyPulse displays it transparently on the trading card so you can see the cost before confirming.
Why isn't a market showing on a tweet?
Not every tweet has a matching prediction market. Markets only appear when:
- There is a relevant active market on Polymarket
- PolyPulse can extract meaningful keywords from the tweet
- The market has sufficient liquidity
What happens when a market resolves?
When the event occurs and the market resolves:
- Winning shares pay $1.00 each
- Losing shares pay $0.00
- Winnings are automatically credited to your Polymarket balance
Wallet
Is my wallet safe?
Yes. Your wallet is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored locally on your device. Your private key never leaves your browser. See Security for details.
Can I use my wallet outside of PolyPulse?
Yes. Your wallet is a standard Ethereum/Polygon wallet. You can export your seed phrase or private key and import it into MetaMask, Rabby, or any EVM-compatible wallet.
What if I forget my password?
If you have your seed phrase, you can re-import your wallet with a new password. If you've lost both your password and seed phrase, your funds cannot be recovered.
What currency do I need?
You need USDC.e (bridged USDC) on the Polygon network for trading. You also need a small amount of POL for the initial setup (token approvals) and for sending/withdrawing funds. Placing orders does not require gas. See Deposit Funds for details.
Troubleshooting

- Make sure the extension is enabled (check
chrome://extensions) - Refresh the X page

My order isn't filling
For limit orders, the market price needs to reach your set price. For market orders, ensure you have sufficient USDC.e balance.
The extension seems slow
Try refreshing the page. If issues persist, disable and re-enable the extension in chrome://extensions.
