Backup & Recovery
Backing Up Your Wallet
Your wallet can be backed up using your seed phrase (12 words) or private key.
Viewing Your Seed Phrase
- Open the PolyPulse popup
- Go to Settings → Security
- Enter your password
- Your seed phrase and private key will be displayed
- Write them down and store securely
DANGER
Never screenshot, copy to clipboard long-term, or store your seed phrase in a notes app, email, or cloud storage. Paper in a secure location is the safest option.
Recovering Your Wallet
If you uninstall PolyPulse or switch to a new computer:
- Install PolyPulse from the Chrome Web Store
- Click "Import Wallet"
- Enter your seed phrase (12 words) or private key
- Set a new password
- Your wallet and funds are restored
Importing to Other Wallets
Your PolyPulse wallet is a standard Ethereum/Polygon wallet. You can import it into:
- MetaMask: Import using private key
- Rabby: Import using seed phrase or private key
- Any EVM-compatible wallet: Same process
This means your funds are always accessible, even if PolyPulse is discontinued.
What If I Lose My Password?
If you forget your password but have your seed phrase:
- Uninstall and reinstall PolyPulse (or use "Delete Wallet" in settings)
- Import your wallet using the seed phrase
- Set a new password
If you lose both your password and seed phrase, your funds are permanently inaccessible. There is no recovery mechanism.
